We are creating a Central United 8th and 9th grade football league in 2026.
What: 5 aside Football league
Who: players who turn 8 and 9 in 2026 (those born 2018 and 2017 or are year 3 - 5 students)
Where: War Memorial Park, Mount Roskill
When: Term 2 and 3, Saturday Mornings between 8.00- 9.30 AM
- 17 week season, starting on starts on Saturday 2 May 2026 and will continue until 12 September.
- Games will be scheduled for each Saturday except on 29 May (Kings Birthday Weekend), and 10 June (Matariki/ School Holidays), 17th July (School Holidays).
Cost: $120 per person for 2 terms
Team: up to 8 people in a team, no restrictions on gender. You can register as a single and be placed into a team or as a full team.
Playing kit: Can play in school sports clothes, our central united kit or a matching coloured shirt. Must have shin pads and rubber stud boots.
Equipment: all balls, cones and goals provided
Coach: every team must have someone (Parent/ older sibling) to run their subs on game day
What will it look like? Each morning teams will play 2 x 20 minute games against other teams. It will be 4 v 4 plus goal keepers.
