Return to Training Update – 24 May

The club is pleased to advise that we have gained approval from both Auckland Football and Auckland Council to begin restarting our club activities. We are excited to get back out on the grass, but we also must take caution as a club to ensure a safe return for everyone. We will be implementing a staged restart of grades and teams over the coming weeks.

The club Coordinators or Director of Football will be making contact with players and teams regarding when they can resume with their training. Please be patient as we are working hard to get everyone going as soon as we safely can. It is likely that the majority of teams will get underway after Queens Birthday Weekend.

At this stage, we do not have an update on when competitions will start. The government is set to review the 10-person gathering restrictions on Monday 25 May, and no competitions will be able to start until this is changed. This will also determine when we start out U5-U8 football at Kiwitea Street.

There are three steps that will need to be completed before returning to training as part of our health and safety procedure.

  1. Check that the details needed for contact tracing are listed and correct in MyComet, and update if needed, instructions here.
  2. Read our player guidelines for training here and ask any questions if you are unsure.
  3. Complete the declaration form that will be sent to you when we confirm the restart plan for your team.

Team coaches and managers will be contacted by the club with their health & safety procedures for delivering training sessions.
