Junior Season Update – 2 June

Junior Season Update – 2 June

Last week saw great news as the government lifted gathering restrictions to 100 people and Auckland Football has given dates for the winter season.

The junior season will start on Saturday 20 June and will be extended through until the September school holidays.

Team training for players U9-U12 can begin and your coach will be in touch soon to get underway. There is still information to come on what the season will look like under the current Alert Level restrictions. While the game will be the same, there will likely be health and safety procedures implemented around it.

Those in U5-U8 will be contacted closer to the start of the season with details on how Saturday mornings will work at Kiwitea Street. Traditionally this is run between 8:00am-10:00am, however dependant on the restrictions and guidelines, there may be slight time changes to accommodate additional health and safety procedures.

We thank you for your patience during this returning to football phase, and your understanding of the additional health and saftey requirements we must implement as a club.

PLAYER GUIDELINES

Please see our revised guidelines here. NZ Football and Auckland Football have recommended IDMe for contact tracing, so we will be following this and all members will be required to check themselves (or their children) into football activity across the region.

  3. Get yourself set up and familiar with IDMe, NZ Football’s contact tracing system, video here, FAQs here.
  4. Complete the declaration form here.
