COVID-19 Updates
Updated: Tuesday 5 April 2022
The COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF) allows football and futsal to take place at all stages, with different restrictions at the Red, Orange, and Green settings to make sure it is the safest possible environment for all participants.
All community football and futsal competitions, matches and trainings are classified as Gatherings and need to follow the Government’s rules for Gatherings.
New Zealand Football, with the federations, has developed the following guidance for football and futsal should operate at all levels of the Covid-19 Protection Framework. This Guidance is reviewed regularly to ensure that it remains consistent with any updates to the COVID-19 Protection Framework and Sport NZ guidelines.
