The class of Emiliano Tade proved crucial as the home side moved through over their Hamilton-based opponents in an entertaining, high tempo clash.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, Central hit the lead 20 minutes into the second period as Tade smashed home a byline cut back from James Hoyt.
The game was still in the balance with Wanderers posing a threat until the 89th minute when Tade was finally brought down in the area by ‘keeper Vladimir Frank after a slaloming run had taken the Central striker beyond two Wanderers’ defenders.
The diminutive Tade duly converted the spot kick to seal the result against a determined Hamilton Wanderers outfit.
