Central have announced new signings –
Greg Uhlmann who returns from Swedish second division side Boden,
Dean Tallentire (25) former Northampton Town and English Universities captain
Jonathan Smith from Dunedin Tech
Carl Bennett from Three Kings United
Steve Callinan from North Shore United
Most of last years squad will be with the club this season and with the abundance of young talent pushing hard, the competition for squad places is sure to be intense. Meanwhile coach Billy Harris is busy making sure they are in tip top condition for the start of the season in early February.

Central had the lions share in their pre-season friendly against the Kingz at Ericsson Stadium on Tuesday night.
The game was of special interest as the Kingz fielded their well publicised latest signing from Chile alongside an almost full strength side. A Carl Bennett strike and a Daniel Aliaga penalty gave Central a share of the spoils as they continue to build towards the start of the summer league in early February.
