Play-off at North Harbour Stadium

Play-off at North Harbour Stadium

Central will play Dunedin Technical at North Harbour Stadium on September 8th at 7:30 pm (Live on Radio Sport) to decide who will be New Zealand Club Champions.
The winner goes on to play in Fiji (18th – 26th September) for the Oceania Club Championship.
Eight teams from around the Pacific will contest this tournament, with South Melbourne likely to be the favourite. (nothing like a confident Australian!)
The winner of this competition will then proceed to Brazil in January for the World Club Championships.

Ramon Tribulietx to return home

Ramon Tribulietx to return home

Spanish player Ramon Tribulietx will return to Barcelona after breaking his arm in a reserve fixture two weeks ago.
He has vowed to return for next season however and feels he has some unfinished business, “I will get some weight training over the next few months and return for the pre-season training in February. The game in New Zealand is very physical and I know I have the skill to play at the highest level here but, strength will also be important if I am to succeed”.
We wish Ramon well and hope he can return to show us more of his Catalonian flair.

All Whites return

All Whites return

Central welcomed back their five All White players this week, after eight long and hard weeks which eventually saw them take on some of the worlds best at the Confederations Cup in Mexico where they played U.S.A. , Germany and Brazil.
Other countries played on tour were Malyasia, Singapore, Thailand, Poland and Oman.
Lets hope they have some football left in them for the remainder of the season!
